The Department of Biomedical Magnetic Resonance of the Physikalische-Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) cordially welcomes you to the 25th Annual Meeting of the German Section of ISMRM e.V., which will take place this year on September 6th and 7th at the Berlin Institute of PTB.

A special interest of the DS-ISMRM is the promotion of young scientists in the field of magnetic resonance in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Therefore, we would like to address and motivate especially students, PhD students and young researchers to submit and present their work. In particular, the conference should also offer the opportunity to gain first experience in the presentation of scientific results. The presentation language will be English, but we will still allow presentations in German with slides in English.  The deadline for abstract submission is June 29th 2023, and prizes will be awarded to the best posters and talks. 

The Annual Meeting will be conducted jointly with the "Bioqic-days" with the local, DFG-funded research graduate school BIOQIC (GRK 2260). In addition to the presentation of one's own results, the conference will also provide a platform to establish contacts with other scientists and to facilitate a scientific exchange. To this end, there will be ample opportunities for discussion in addition to the oral and poster sessions.

In addition, we are planning a career session where young scientists can inform themselves about possible career paths in science and industry. There will also be opportunities to make contacts here.

A major highlight of our annual conference is the Gorter Awards, which are endowed with 1000 euros, 500 euros, and 250 euros for first, second, and third place, respectively. The award is aimed at young scientists from medicine, the natural sciences, engineering, mathematics or related subjects. Interested candidates can apply with a completed bachelor's, master's or doctoral thesis or as first author of an outstanding original paper in the field of biomedical magnetic resonance. We look forward to receiving the contributions. The deadline for Gorter submissions is also June 29th 2023.
